Settle
back and relax as the M.V. MIKAT take you from the Great
Sandy Straits Marina to Moon Point on Fraser Island, where
you will enter the Hervey Bay Marine Park to enjoy you time
amongst the Humpback Whales. You're onboard a 20 meter
ocean going catamaran that will handle the generally calm
waters of Hervey Bay with ease. After a cup of coffee
or tea we will give you an informative talk about the whales
and dolphins, not just text book facts but very much our own
experiences since 1987, the beginning of the whale watching
Educational, entertaining and for some even emotional. The
sight of the first Humpback Whale for he day is
unforgettable experience. To see an animal weighing some
45,000kg or equivalent of 11 elephants is breathtaking. But
that's merely the beginning of your WHALE WATCH SAFARIS.

dolphins riding the bow wave or interacting with the whales
is an added bonus. All the time your helpful crew will
try to explain what these whales are doing and why, and to
get your camera ready when a breach is imminent.
